WELCOME TO THE ALBION JAZZ BAND
Who We Are The Albion Jazz Band was originally formed in 1990 at the request of Bob Erdos
of Stomp Off Records to record a tribute album to Ken Colyer, "One For The Guv'nor".
The album was well received and led to the band receiving many invites to festivals
and to four tours in UK. The band members were drawn from several respected traditional jazz
bands in the US and Canada, including the Grand Dominion Jazz Band from Vancouver,
the New Black Eagle Jazz Band from Boston, and the Golden Eagle Jazz Band
from Los Angeles. Two of the original members have moved back to the UK and Ireland and are
currently active on the UK jazz scene. 2011 UK Tour The band is organising a tour of the UK in May 2011 and will feature the original band heard on the Stomp Off recordings. The schedule is:
